Rightsize for retirement
We specialize in helping seniors prepare for life in a new place, whether
you’re moving to a cottage in a retirement facility, a room in a
health care center, or a cozy apartment.
We are sympathetic to the emotions created by leaving a long-lived in
home with its many memories. And we are experienced in and sensitive to
dealing with the disposition of cherished possessions, gathered over a
lifetime.
We create floor plans and measure furniture, assuring a good “fit”.
We arrange for removal of junk, packing, moving and unpacking.
Downsize where you are
Many Americans are choking on our possessions. We’ve filled our attics, basements and garages and rent storage facilities for all those things we might use--someday! Wouldn’t you rather do something besides take care of all that “STUFF”?
“…Manage mess by having less…”
From THE SIMPLE LIVING GUIDE, by Janet Luhrs]
Organize your home or office
Life is less stressful and work is more productive when your home and office are organized.
Remember, it’s S-I-M-P-L-E:
S is for sort. Make
piles or groups, putting LIKE THINGS TOGETHER.
I is for identify. What
do you love, need, use?
M is for making decisions.
Reduce, remove, recycle.
P is for place. That’s
a verb! Arrange what you are keeping.
L is for label. Labeling
is critical!
E is for enjoy. Enjoy
a sense of freedom from the tyranny of possessions!
Clear the clutter
Eliminate clutter and give yourself time to do more important things.
Spend less time rummaging through all that stuff to find what you need.
The average American spends up to 55 minutes a day—or about
12 days a year—searching for things they can’t find!* They
know “it” is there somewhere, but where?
*Quoted in Newsweek from a study conducted by a Boston
marketing firm
We specialize in helping seniors!
We treat seniors—you,
your parents, or your grandparents—with respect.
Could your family
find your will, your health and life insurance documents, your brokerage,
bank and tax information? We can assist in seeing that end-of-life documents
are accessible. We can prepare items for distribution, including documentation.
And, of course, we
can help you downsize—or rightsize, as we call it!
